Budget Blinds – Brandon, FL
For a family room that faced a golf course and pool-area lanai, privacy was a primary concern. The fabric shades can be placed in an open horizontal position to allow more light and view to the outside when desired, and closed for privacy as needed.
- Sheer window shades on side windows and French doors allow light penetration, but help maintain privacy
- Bottom rail hold-downs keep the shades from moving when the French Doors open and close
- A custom swag treatment featuring ornate medallions accents the large arched window
Winning Project Details:
Our client had a design challenge in a room with two oversize windows with large arches and French doors. Light-filtering privacy was needed on the lower windows but the client wanted to allow the light from the arches, while decreasing the glare from the afternoon sun. We designed a formal swag drapery treatment for the arched area of the window and paired it with sheer fabric shades in the lower portion of the window to achieve both objectives.
The client’s personal style preference leans toward more ornate design in the rest of the estate home, so she was thrilled with the formal medallions and tiebacks we incorporated into our design. Kasmir fabric and trim coordinates with the client’s wallpaper and other décor elements. The fabric treatment was made in five separate pieces and fashioned onsite by our lead installer, Daniel Collins. Our design team and the client were very pleased with the result.
