We Proudly Support Our Canadian Troops

Budget Blinds, in partnership with Springs Window Fashions, are proud to support Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC), a privately funded military charity whose mission is to honour and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families. Through this partnership, we are able to donate funds to support their diverse slate of mental health programs and services for Veterans.

Wounded Warriors Canada

Retired Canadian Armed Forces member, Todd Burns, CD, MSW, Provincial Coordinator for WWC in Nova Scotia, shares his personal struggle with PTSD and how WWC changed his life.

In 2015, Budget Blinds, in partnership with Springs Window Fashions, began supporting Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC), a privately funded military charity that exists as a result of the generosity, care and compassion of Canadians and Canadian businesses. Through this partnership, we provide annual monetary donations to the organization to help support their diverse set of programs and services ranging from supporting homeless veterans, to PTSD Animal Assisted Therapy and transition programs focused on family-based support.
Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that helps Canadian Armed Forces members – be they regular force or reservists – who have been wounded or injured in their service to Canada. Through a wide range of programs and services, they help find solutions where gaps have left our veterans and their families in need. Currently, their primary focus is on mental health, particularly in the staggering impact of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder perpetrated by Operational Stress Injuries. Overall, their mandate is to help any Veteran in need as they transition back into civilian life.
